Chester Joinery

Our Story

1991. Pursuing a Passion

In 1991 Jason left high school to do a YTS course which is similar to an apprenticeship that colleges offer today. After two years of training Jason gained his level 2 City & Guilds Joinery qualification.

1993 – 2015. Perfecting Craftmanship

Jason’s work has taken him all over the North West and beyond. From design and sales to manufacturing, installation, training & mentoring and managerial positions Jason has been employed by various organisations throughout his years in the industry, which has enabled him to become highly skilled and to perfect his craftmanship.

2014. Headhunted

In the spring of 2014 Jason was specifically employed for a bespoke carpentry project in a luxury mansion in Cannes, France. Due to client confidentiality, we are unable to provide any photos of the work!

2015. A Company is Born

After many years of working for other companies, Jason decided to put his many years of expertise and knowledge to use and became self-employed. Chester Joinery was established in the summer of 2015.

2017. Our First Employee

In 2017 Jason’s wife Adele officially came on board as the Accounts and Sales Manager at Chester Joinery. Adele assists with the day to day running of the business, all of the administration, and social media management, whilst working closely alongside the company accountant.

2018. Our First Premises

In the summer of 2018, Chester Joinery announced they had secured their first premises. This allowed the organisation to install machinery and start to manufacture their own products rather than rely on sourcing from other organisations.

2019. Keeping it in the Family

In autumn 2019, Jason and Adele’s son Kyle came to work at Chester Joinery to learn more abut the running of the business. Kyle works both in the factory learning about the manufacturing process of fitted furniture, as well as assisting with installations.

2020. Onwards and Upwards

Although 2020 has been difficult due to Covid-19 and having to close for a period of 3 months and then reopen with a disrupted supply chain, in the summer the organisation was in a position to upgrade their machinery. The organisation also celebrated learning they had achieved a six figure turnover for the previous financial year, a testament to their commitment and dedication over the past 5 years.
